Undoubtedly it has become evident to all of us that the blogging has taken over the world in the last years and keeps growing by the second. One will be baffled knowing the sheer numbers of blogs existing now a days. As of today the World Wide Web holds a collection of approximately 100 million blogs and with each passing day, 100,000 new blogs popup. There was a long trip from creating a blog (which takes a minute or two in most cases) to turning it to an attraction for visitors although you will inevitably spend a ample of time, the whole ordeal is not as hard as many novice bloggers say it is.

They are just striving to hide their laziness behind the word hard. No doubt the efforts involved with blogging are not a piece of cake either but still within many people search. Yes, even the same lazy folks I described a line or two above. With this article I am to give you some blogging tips, which often get disregarded by newbie’s. Utilizing them can help you finally lift your blog off the ground and make something out of it. Go on reading if you are interested!
Stay Focused:
That one is definitely on the top of my blogging tips. A big percentage of the bloggers are working from home. There’s no doubt that for many people this is only something they can dream of. Working from home has many benefits, however there are cons involved as well. Trying to keep out of distractions’ way is one of the worst. When there’s no boss to tell you what to do, the level of productivity can significantly drop, if you lack the ability to control yourself and stay focused.
Let’s say you are on some social media sites, trying to promote an article you recently wrote. Everything goes well in the first 5-10 minutes. And then while you are on StumbleUpon, you come across a great site about your favorite band. Your business has nothing to do with music, but you are still eager to check it out for what you think is a minute. Suddenly the minute has turned into close to two hours and when you are done, remembering what you were doing in the first place becomes a task close to impossible.
There’s no easy way of overcoming this. Creating a schedule of some sort might be of a good assistance. Doing so will help you draw the line between business and entertainment easier. Avoiding overlapping these two is what you are striving for. While you are working, always keep thinking about the purpose of what you are doing and the eventual benefits.
Consider an Article Marketing Strategy:
So you have spent the last four hours into creating a great article, offering killer insights, presented in an awesome way? This is all great, but what’s the point if you can’t get anyone to actually read it? Marketing is as equally important as high quality content. There are countless techniques in existence when it comes to it. Social media is by far the most popular marketing model at the moment. Submitting your newly created articles to sites like Digg and StumbleUpon is a must. Lately a new breed of social networking sites started to emerge. Their sole intent is blog content promotion. The top 3 in my list are BlogEngage, Serpd and MMO Social Network. I would advice you to check them out, create an account and start adding your stories.
Linking to Other Blogs:
Adding links to related blogs in your articles is always a good idea. First you are offering a useful resource to your visitors and second, instead of just copying the information into your own content, you are pointing readers to it. Thus in some or another way you give credit for the work of the real author. This rarely goes unnoticed and you will eventually benefit for doing it. Whether it is a link back to your blog, a tweet or a comment – it is well worth it.
Comment on Other Blogs:
You might say that the last thing a visitor will do on a blog, is to read the comments. May seem strange, but you will be wrong. It might be because comments can help one discover different points of view or maybe find inspiration, but it’s a fact that a lot of the readers do check out the remarks under an article. So commenting is always a good thing to do. If you are doing it on a dofollow blog, there’s the added benefit of your site getting some link juice in the form of backlinks (more on the backlinks subject can be read in the article “Backlinks and Why They are so Important”). Guess that was a long read folks? Hope it was worth it in the end and you found a few useful tips here and there. Feel free to supplement the list or add your feedback in the comments section. :)
